The Mystics faced the undefeated Connecticut Sun on Tuesday and suffered a 76-59 defeat in Uncasville, Conn. Rookie forward Aaliyah Edwards led Washington with 14 points and nine rebounds, coming close to a double. Forward Myesha Hines-Allen contributed 10 points and four rebounds off the bench, while guards Karlie Samuelson and Ariel Atkins each scored nine points and grabbed three rebounds. Then on Thursday, Washington fell short in their attempt to secure their first win of the season against the Chicago Sky, losing 79-71.
